Whenever my husband and I travel, we always take our camera, remote, and Gorilla Pod. I highly recommend the Gorilla Pod, as it is really difficult to travel with a full-sized tripod. It is also a good idea to invest in a remote, if your camera supports one. It is nice to be able to snap a picture when you choose, rather than having to run back and forth between the camera and your location. These are some of my favorite self-portraits.
